Photo a Day -- April 22- April 28

A few more pics of my week to share.  I continue to be surprised that I have to pick and choose. There are lots more I'd like to use, but alas, there are only 7 days.

Sunday, April 22 -- Jeremy and I and Kaitlin went to Eegee's after church to share lunch. Jeremy thought we ought to share our Eegee in a romantic fashion. <3

Monday, April 23 -- My husband loves us, and so he got up this Monday morning and spent time on the roof getting the cooler going. We are grateful indeed!

Tuesday, April 24 -- I planted three Basil plants and Thyme plant. Looking forward to cooking with fresh herbs!

Wednesday, April 25 -- This red climber only blooms once a year but it's always quite a show. Especially in the evening when the sun is shining through at just the right angle.

Thursday, April 26 -- This 'lump of kitty' cracked me up. She's been sitting like this in this spot a lot lately, as if to say 'don't bother me man!'

Friday, April 27 -- Kitty used my supplies and space to make some birthday/thank you cards for the FRG. We won't discuss how I struggled to let go of my supplies. LOL

Saturday, April 28 -- My shop really is going to open. I really am cutting sheets and sheets of die-cuts to go into packages. Really!

Are you doing this project too?  How is yours coming? Do share links so I can see too!

Have a great day!

Photo a Day - April 8-14

I felt like this week simply flew by.  It began with Easter, and celebrating our Risen Lord and quickly moved to some tough stuff.  At some point, I'll share a bit more about what is happening with our baby girl, Maddie, but for now, it's still a bit raw.  The short version is that she is living away from us for at least a year so we continue to need prayers, especially for our girl.

And now, for photos.

Sunday, April 8 -- It felt strange that today was the last day we'd spend all together with Madison for a while. I wanted to snap some shots of us together. I look at this and see the discomfort on Maddie's face and hope that in another year there will be a very different look there. Love you Maddie-cakes.

Monday, April 9 -- We stayed with Ben and Elizabeth when we were in Albuequerque dropping Madison off for her 'adventure'. What a great time we had catching up with them.

Tuesday, April 9 -- We dropped Madison off in NM today. It will be a looonnggg time that she is gone but we are praying God will meet her where she is.

Wednesday, April 11 -- Kitty reading her Kindle. Just ordinary everyday life today.

Thursday, April 12 -- Try as I might to get George to look at me for a photo, he would not. However, when he decided to open wide for this yawn, I felt it was a very fine substitute indeed.

Friday, April 13 -- Little Liv-cakes was making tea! She wasn't quite ready to share it with me that visit but by the time I left, she was letting me read stories to her! Love

Saturday, April 14 -- I took a butterfly workshop at the Tucson Botanical Gardens today with Debbie Stertz. Impossible to pick only one photo, but I did. Is it my favorite, not necessarily, there were so many amazing little beauties there.

There you have it!  I can hardly believe I've kept up with this for this long.  Feels pretty good I must admit.

Hope your week is blessed and beautiful!

Photo a Day -- April 1-7

I thought it interesting as I looked back at the collection of photos on my Shuttercal account from this particular week to see how the first images were bluish and moved to a warmer feeling.  Just useless trivia. ;)

Sunday, April 1 -- Bean has been delighted that big sister, Kitty, has brought him a friend in Liz-dog! The two of them are pretty much constantly trying to eat each other's faces off, but in a good way!

Monday, April 2 --Mouse kitty can be found to sit in such an unladylike fashion. And here I thought she was high class.

Tuesday, April 3 -- We call this 'flat kitty'. Cracks me up how she sort of molds herself to the top of the couch.

Wednesday, April 4 --This is a photo of friendship. My friend Mari brought me this potted Petunia. Each time I look at it I think of Mari and how she has been a precious friend and one who has my back in prayer and time of need.

Thursday, April 5 -- Maddie stopped doing school work this week since we know she'll be leaving. Instead, I asked her to read as much as she could get through of 'Changes That Heal'. I thought she looked especially cute in this position. I do hope she gains something from reading it.

Friday, April 6 -- A relatively lame blossom (that is the truth). But amazing things happen when light shines through.

Saturday, April 7 -- Thanks Marie! How beautiful are the thoughtful and unexpected gifts of a friend. Marie made me feel truly special when she presented me with this unexpected gift.

And there you have it, one more week in my life.  I really like how this shows me how much does happen in my daily life.  Moments worth remembering.  Many of which I'd have forgotten without this particular project.  It makes mundane things remarkable.

Have a beautiful, memorable day.

Photo a Day -- March 25-31

And this shall mean I am caught up!  Yay!

I've actually been creating some layouts that I am super excited to share, but alas, I must wait until the Elle's Studio Inspiration Gallery goes live. And so, I'm afraid, must you.  So sorry. Truly, I am.  I am sooo bad at keeping secrets. Just want to share my little heart out.

So, photos for last week!

Sunday, March 25 -- New Spring Growth

Monday, March 26 -- Hunter pauses from his studies to ask a philosophical question about whether reading words is a similar concept to reading people's faces/body language since both are visual. Good thinking son!

Tuesday, March 27 -- I have a girl! She is my daughter and SHE IS HOME! Yay!

Wednesday, March 28 -- It was a total bonus that Kitty and Sarah even got to see each other! Today, they went to Starbucks and got some catch up time!

Thursday, March 29 -- Two of my faithful friends. Rebecca and Mouse. Rebecca actually left this morning but she's always in my heart.

Friday, March 30 -- Hunter actually left on the 29th for Mexico to spend some time down there with the Coult family. There was a need for separation and this was God's perfect solution. We got to spend some time with just him before he left, encouraging him and reminding him how much we love him.

Saturday, March 31 -- Kaitlin gave her dad a hair-cut. I've been trying to talk him into growing it out but he's not buying it so far. I think she was pretty proud to have done the deed.

Have a happy weekend!

Photo a Day -- Mar 18-24

Yep, still running behind as you can tell.  Here are my photos from a week ago.  Enjoy!

Sunday, March 18 --Madison and her friends Heather and Chelsey spent some time together today having lunch and visiting. Maddie wanted to tell them why she would be leaving home for such a long time. After lunch, they all came to our house and we took some pics. Jumping on the tramp had to be the most fun!

Monday, March 19 -- We had the strangest storm today. It snowed, it hailed, it did what is pictured here which is some combination of snow and hail. Hard little balls of snow, not really ice. This all fell in a matter of a few minutes, covering everything super fast!

Tuesday, Mar 20 -- Once the storm was moving out we had some really interesting clouds. This was interesting as the bank of cloud seemed so isolated to this one spot on the Rincon Mountains.

Wednesday, March 21 -- Even kitties take time to stop and smell the spring flowers.

Thursday, March 22 -- Snow capped mountains after the storm. The Santa Ritas north side faces us. I am often surprise at how long they hold the snow.

Friday, March 23 -- Jeremy provides entertainment for the kitchen crew while everyone waits to eat the cheesecake Rebecca made.

Saturday, March 24 -- Madison has been talking about cutting her hair for at least a year and a half. Since she's going to be heading to a place where caring for it won't be as easy, she decided now was the time to actually do it. How cute she is both ways but the short hair is a nice change.

I hope you're having a fantastic week!

Photo a Day -- Mar 11-17

I'm playing a bit of catch up I'm afraid.  I got behind a week, well two really on getting my photos uploaded. I didn't actually take a photo every single day either, but don't tell.  I substituted for photos from other days.  I have no shortage of photos so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Sun, March 11 -- Sun plays with sunflowers. How appropriate.

Monday, Mar 12 -- As my daughter, Madison says, it looks like 'Fire in the Sky'!

Tuesday, Mar 13 -- Hunter took a little break from his daily schoolwork to stroll through the yard and play his guitar.

Wednesday, Mar 14 -- One of my favorite daily sites, the male Northern Cardinal in late afternoon coming to the feeders for a snack.

Thursday, Mar 15 -- I've been trying to coax the black-throated sparrows to visit my feeders for years. This little fellow at least is willing finally.

Friday, Mar 16 -- Amazing sunsets

Saturday, Mar 17 -- I went on a 'Photo Safari' at the zoo. My favorite is ALWAYS, hands down, the Tiger. What a gorgeous creature. I only feel sorry for him that he is locked up in such a poor imitation of the wild from which he came.

This week was very nature heavy.  Lots to see in the great outdoors right now!

Have a wonderful day!

Photo a Day 2012 -- Mar 4-10

Buenos Dias!  Here is hoping you are having a beautiful Tuesday!  I've been a busy busy girl and haven't had the chance of creating anything I can share in the last few days, but I do have some photos to share with you.

I keep running into little hitches with my shop opening so please bear with me.  In the end, it'll happen, it's just taking a little longer than I'd hoped.  In the meantime, I have to tell you that I am super excited about some of the new things that are happening and I can't wait to share them with you!

Sunday, Mar 4 -- Time for a Coult Family portrait again. Yay for having Sarah back in the mix!

Monday, Mar 5 -- Sarah said she'd always wanted to have her hair all done in tiny braids. What else could we do besides get to work! She looks pretty cute!

Tuesday, Mar 6 -- It's pretty ordinary I suppose, to have packages arrive. This time it's an order of stuff that the Coult's and our family needed. FOOD!

Wed, Mar 7 -- Market on the Move just 'moved' into our church campus last Saturday and this is some of the produce we picked up. I used the tomatoes tonight to make Fresh Tomato Sauce with Tequila and Cream. Yum!

Thursday, Mar 8 -- Bean surveys the early Spring bloom and enjoys a bit of sunshine. The days are warming but there is still a coolness to the air. He likes to be out at this time of year sitting in the sunlight.

Friday, Mar 9 -- I wanted to play with depth of field and capture the ranuculas. I actually had a lot of photos from this day I'm tempted to throw up here. Love the brilliant color and all the different shapes during the varying stages of bloom.

Saturday, Mar 10 -- George thinks he's the King of everything. Or at least that he can hold Jeremy down while he does his morning exercises. The reality is, it looks like he's doing a pretty good job of just that.

I've another busy week ahead of me so I may not manage blogging every day but we shall see.  Wish me luck and have a wonderful Tuesday.  Don't forget to get out there and take a photograph!

Photo a Day -- Feb 26 - Mar 3

Time for a glimpse into daily life at the Schneider Ranch.  (we need an interesting name for this place)  Perhaps this week, the Schneider Zoo would be appropriate as there were 12 of us under one roof during much of this week!

Sunday, February 26 -- George is often a guest at the dinner table when Jeremy is eating. The rest of us are not quite so generous.

Monday, Feb 27 -- Lucy is our adopted DOGhter. LOL She seems to visit us for at least one weekend almost every month. She's a people person and wants to be with you . I caught her here looking longingly out the window at me and wondering why she was on the WRONG side of it!

Tuesday, Feb 28 -- This storm actually took place on the 17th but I had to include it in this months photos. Normally, storms are a big part of what we look forward to in February but this month we didn't get a ton of storms. We we did have a couple and we did cherish them. In the desert, a little rain is just such a wonderful blessing.

Wednesday, Feb 29 -- It's Leap Day! But the kids had testing for AIMS and mom enjoyed lunch out with friend Rose! We stopped at Radio Shack of all things on our way to church and encountered another little thing that I always love in the Spring. Texas Mountain Laurel plants all over the valley bloom and leave their amazing Grape scent all over the city. It's really quite stunning how strong the scent is and how it smells just like grape kool-aid would. I love these and look forward to their blooming every single year. So very beautiful.

Thursday, Mar 1 -- I got to visit with and snuggle Jack! I can't ask for a much better gift than that really. There is something about snuggling with a newborn, especially one you are attached to that is just beyond special.

Friday, Mar 2 -- Poor Bean got himself stuck on the wrong side of the fence. He looked rather pathetic waiting out there. I have no idea how long he was there but I suspect it was a while. I guess he learned what a 'traveling Jones' would get him.

Saturday, Mar 3 -- We made Pad Thai for supper while the Coult's were here. This stuff is addicting!

I am sometimes amazed at all the going's on that don't get recorded in this little exercise.  For instance, on Saturday I also made two layouts, met with Summer for a mentoring session, Jeremy and his band played at a concert in the park while Hunter and several of the Coult boys ran in a 5K.  Rebecca and the girls (and some boys too I believe) went to the church and participated in Market on the Move.  I went shopping for the aforementioned Pad Thai.  But alas, the camera was only employed for the Pad Thai so that is what got recorded.

And I used to think my life was boring and uneventful!  Hah!
