Office Things

For me, creating a scrapbook layout is an exercise in creativity.  I know I don't need to feel this way, but I always want to do something different.

I don't want to create a page that everyone has already seen before.  I want it to be different as much as is possible.  Now I know that I can only do so much to achieve this goal, but I have to say that the June Scrapbook Circle kit, First Avenue and Going Downtown really helped me to meet my goal this time.

When I saw the giant envelope, I knew it had to be the background of at least one layout.  (Really, I was wishing I had several of these to use as a canvas. LOVE!)

Of course, one has to add a little ink to the surface, as this is an 'office supply' and offices have ink, right?!

To create a large photo, I printed 12 x about 4 in my home printer on legal size photo paper.  I was able to print the photo strip on the same piece since there was so much left over space.

The Basic Grey rub-ons applied beautifully to the envelope's surface and added the perfect pop of color and fun, felted texture.

How are you using the envelope in your projects?  Be sure and show us on our Facebook Gallery!
