Pastel Calico

Have you ever heard of a Pastel Calico cat?  I hadn't until I found my sweet Maddie cat in a local feed store waiting for a forever home.  It really just refers to the coloring rather than to a bread.  You've seen calico cats that are darker and the color is more saturated.  So a pastel calico is just a calico that is a bit washed out.

I have to say that of all the Pastel calico kitties I've now seen (most of which I found online) mine is truly the prettiest. So I made a layout of her for my Week in the Life album and I wanted to share it with you today.

Here is another picture I snapped of her during this last week.  Isn't she pretty?



She's about 12 years old now but still healthy as can be.  She's a funny kitty and certainly not the smartest knife in the drawer, but she's my favorite.  She's the quirkiest, the least friendly, but somehow I really love her.

    I have one calico and one orange tabby. Mine are both short hair. Your cat is goregous!

    Your kitty is beautiful and the layout it lovely. Have never heard of a pastel calico, I learned something new! Isn't it fun how cats have such unique personalities? I certainly see that in the two that own me!
