Hello Tuesday -- Use Project Life Picks another way

Hello everyone!  I hope you're having a great week!  Today, I've got a few Blue Moon Scrapbooking projects to share that will demonstrate some other uses for my Project Life Picks January 2013 Edition.  I've added a video that also explains a bit about the processes used so if you enjoy a video, do go and have a look at that.

I did three separate projects to demonstrate how flexible the punches and dies we're using this month can be.

First is this grid design layout. I've been taking lots of photos for use in my PL, but there are more than I can always use so this layout is sort of a daily memories theme, just some of the things that didn't get recorded in the regular PL.  I may include it into my album though.

I used the sentiment dies to create a grid base and then built my layout around that.

This page features the Jenni Bowlin half sheild tab punch most prominently.  I created a textured border down the side of the page.  I am in love with tabs in every form so when I saw this punch, I HAD to have it.

I also sprayed my die cut using the Heidi Swapp Tinsel.  Love the result.

And finally, here is a quick and easy card using just a few supplies and another of the sentiments dies and the calendar components from My Favorite Things.  I have to say that I love how beautifully these dies cut.  I like my Silhouette, but they rarely cut anything as cleanly as an old fashion metal die.  Add a few letter stickers from OA and a heart from SC and you're good!

Hopefully this has sparked a few more ideas for how to use the dies for you.  I don't like to have a product in my stash that I'll only use once so that is a big part of how I choose my metal dies and punches.

Have a great day!

  8. Love the projects and the video! I like how you use the Instagram photos on the one layout because I don't do PL, but this year I am starting and album titled insta-love and it will be a month in review of my instagram pics.
