Hello Wednesday -- Hello Yellow

Lately, yellow is one of my favorite colors.  Maybe because its bright and happy and everyone needs a bit of that in their lives right!  At any rate, I can't seem to get enough of it!

So I had to create a page using yellow (nearly exclusively, but not quite)

I dug into the remains of my Scrapbook circle and this is what I came up with.  On the one hand, I sometimes feel a little restricted when I don't have lots of product to work with.  On the other hand, it forces me to be creative and think outside of my normal box.

Here's a pic of the original kit before I demolished it.




This time, there weren't many full sheets left and what was a full sheet just didn't feel right to me.  No worries though, I simply built my own background using pieces of the papers I did have left.

I played around and layered and came up with this concept for the base.

After that, I stitched down all the major pieces and just started adding and tucking in every little bit of yellow stuff I could find.

I did intersperse a bit of grey so it gave the eye a chance to rest, but I kept it minimal.
