Photo a Day 2012 -- February 19-25

I am keeping my camera going. Well.....for the most part.  I'm struggling just a bit because we've been going pretty crazy and things haven't been so wonderful.  However, I am getting there, and I'm all for filler photos going in places where they weren't actually taken on that particular day.

Sunday, February 19 -- We were visited by very strange people today. Ummm, well.....my children. Millie brought Michael and the twins were also along for the ride. Silliness ensued!

Monday, February 20 -- Hunter has been great about reading his bible each day.

Tuesday, February 21 -- We have a LOT of birds in our back yard. When the hawks come in too, all the other birds scatter. Doves are quite prolific and when there are so many there is always the risk of one flying into the window. As I walked in the back door today, I was stunned by how perfectly this dove left his imprint. Since I saw no dead dove I assume he made it alive but it seems the collision had to have been quite intense.

Wednesday, February 22 -- Maddie looks at the hole she is digging as if wondering if it might at some point soon begin to dig itself. Over the course of about 5 minutes as I watched, she must have stopped 30 times and had just this look. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Thursday, February 23 -- I love how these two cuddle together on Bean's Bed. Maddie-cat seems to think it's hers, but she is willing to share with Bean!

Friday, February 24 -- We bought some Ranunculas at the nursery to plant this Spring. They are so pretty now, but we shall see if they continue their bloom.

Saturday, February 25 -- We planted a pomegranate tree in the whole Madison dug earlier in the week. It's a pretty little tree.

I have some hope that one day we will all be able to stand under the shade of that little tree, eating of it's fruit and rejoicing with Madison at how God allowed this period to be a turning point in her life.  I am praying that her life will bear good fruit.  The ground doesn't look to fertile but sometimes there are things beneath the surface about which we have no idea.

I'll see you next time.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. That imprint left by the dove is amazing! Your ranunculas look beautiful. They are one of my favourite flowers but it is too hot for them to grow where we live currently. TFS.
