In love with Blue???

You may think I'm silly but I have never cared much for blue as a color.  I've been quite prejudiced against it actually!  In fact, one might think I was somewhat proud of my distaste for blue.  Given this fact, you may be surprised at what's been showing up in MANY of my pins on Pinterest of late.

And it doesn't stop there!  Oh no, there are lots more lovely pretties in shades of aqua.  Such as

I think I may be unable to keep up the ruse any longer.  But aren't you a bit more inspired now by this outstanding color.  If you care to see where all these luscious goodies came from you can take a peek at my pinboard and find them out!

So I have to show you the beginnings of the layout you are about to see.  I LOVE how this chevron turned out.  I used a tutorial by Marcy Penner for October Afternoon to make this background.

Does that make you as happy as it makes me???

And finally, here is what I created as a result of all that lovely inspiration.

As always, thanks for stopping by and visiting and if you care to follow, there's a happy button in your right margin just for that purpose.  I'd love to see you around more often!

You know it is funny as this shade of aqua blue has ALWAYS been my favourite colour it is just so serene and fresh and happy dont you think? i would have my whole house like this if i could, but then i would have to loose my red/white lounge and kitchen and i am partial to a bit of red too :) OH and i LOVE this layout, i have been meaning to follow that tutorial since i saw it, maybe this week lol or next :)

  2. Great layout and I'm glad you're embracing blue! I went through an anti-blue phase after my friends used to nag me that it's all I ever wore but I'm coming back to it again after many years! Becky x

  4. Ursula this is fantabulous!!!!! I love all the stitching, the chevron, and a beautiful pic!!!! There is something to be said about blues - not the plain jane crayonish blues, but the soft aquas etc that just grab me! Hugs!
