So how was your weekend? I have to admit to having sort of a blah weekend this time around. I"m not sure I can explain why or how, I just know that my mood was a little low. Do you ever have those kinds of days? There have been times in my life when I've struggled with pretty serious depression and when I have days like I did this weekend, I perk up and try to take care to pay attention to my feelings. I know that can lead me down a path I don't want to visit again so I do what I need to to heal and rest and feel alive again.
Today is better!
This layout was a bit of a challenge for me. Mainly because I did not plan it at all and just started sticking things down willy-nilly. It turned out well in the end but there were some periods when I was really sweating it I have to admit. I'm not a big planner in general. That is to say, I don't draw out my layouts as a sketch beforehand very often. However, I usually don't stick things down until I'm certain where I am going to go with it either.
I guess some of the best layouts happen organically as this is a great one...from what I see! Hope that you are feeling better! Have a great day (even if it is a Monday) -Amanda
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this layout so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm def the opposite - stick down and then think. Love this page and the way you framed the camera in the photo. Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI don't plan mine much beyond my head either! This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the color combos in the layout, and it looks great - sometimes we are our own worst critique, but you did say you were pleased with how it turned out. That is a huge thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think your "self care" as our family counselor calls it is a great idea and glad you were able to do what you needed to do to avoid a slide into the dark side.
love this layout Ursula! Esp. the woodgrain letters and arrow combined with the vintage camera pp and kraft. Thanks for the blog by! :) Have a blessed day! :)
