Hello Wednesday -- Scrapbook Circle Layout

Hi friends!  I've got another Scrapbook Circle layout to share today.  We were challenged to feature the Studio Calico frames from November's kits on a project and here is how I chose to do that.

I was especially excited to try printing a couple of photos on vellum for this page.  It worked well, but I do wish my printer had a transparency setting as the amount of ink laid down was a bit much for the medium. I think next time, I'll try a different setting, but it worked well enough.

I take a LOT of sunset photos!  While I've never loved living in Arizona, I do have to give full credit to the skies here.  There simply aren't better ones anywhere as far as I can tell.  The air is always clear and you can see for miles and miles.  The horizon always has some interesting mountains or some such thing to make it interesting. And when no mountains are in the view, just grab a Giant Saguaro (figuratively, NOT LITERALLY!)

I actually cut out the outer edge of the sticker to get that hollow look. Kind of a fun and different way to use the stickers and it works great if you run out of the one you wanted.

I also printed the photo that is mounted on the wooden tag on vellum and mod podged it to the wood tag.  Caused the ink to run a bit but I decided it was kind of a cool effect.

And I sewed right through the wood veneer, worked like a charm!

You can see in the photo just above that it's been printed on vellum and so the patterned paper peeks out a bit.  Makes me smile.

Hope you're having a fab week!
