Hello Friday -- Grid anyone?

I've got a layout to share today that was lots of fun to make.  Are you ever as amazed as I am at how little actual paper you use on your scrapbook pages?  I am sometimes shocked to be honest.

In the case of this layout, I used 1/4 inch of 13 different papers, adding of to a total of 3.25 total inches of 12 inch width paper.  Well, and one full background sheet.  And I wonder why I never kill my kits, LOL

So here it is.  I challenged the Lily Bee Design blog readers to use 10 or more Mixed Cardstock stickers on a single page.  And 21 stickers later, this is how I did it.

It is really just a simple grid design. The grid paper allowed me to freehand stitch the strips down, no adhesive at all!

Then all that was left was to tuck in stickers willy nilly, hither and yon!  I like the final effect.  Sort of like anchored little pockets in which to place treasures.

Hope you're having a lovely day! For all the US folks, it's only one more week until Thanksgiving!  Do you have your Turkey???

  1. Cute layout! I can't believe how little pp you used, yet it doesn't look like you used 10+ stickers either.

  10. OMG you have just inspired me! I always cut off about 1/2" of paper from my 12x12 layouts so that they will lay flat on my scanner. I have used a few of those "scraps" of paper as border pieces on other layouts but mostly I just throw them away. But now I see a way to use them otherwise! Yay!
    TY!
