When they grow up

I can hardly believe how grown up my kids are.  It seems like yesterday that I was a new mom, and yet here I am looking at becoming an empty nester.

I recently captured this photo of my son and knew I'd have to make a special layout from it.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the letters.  I have to say it took forever and a day to lay all of that out, but I love the result.

I'll tell a secret.  When I did it I didn't draw lines so it'd be straight.  The result, well......it wasn't straight.  But not to worry, I cut the strips of text and then reglued them onto my pages, using pop dots for some to give it dimension.  My faux pas ended up working in my benefit.

I used the Elle's Studio kits, Everyday Moments and Here and Now to create this page.  Amazingly, they are both still available so I'm recommending that you RUN over there and grab one of each!

Have a fantastic weekend!
