Elle's Studio's Inspiration Gallery is going live today and I know you will absolutely be inspired. We have such an amazing line-up of Design Team talent. Love these girls. I don't mind telling you that they certainly inspire me.
Make sure you check out the whole gallery. But in the meantime, I'll drop you a bone and show you one of my layouts for this month.
This is based on one of those sort of random photos that you snap of the 'going's on' but when I looked at it later I just loved it. I loved how it showed my friend Chelsea smiling widely at her little daughter as she held her new baby boy carefully in her arms. Just screamed to me of the way family really is, or at least should be.
I used the Studio Calico Story Hour kit for this project along with a lot of the new Elle's Studio goodies that just came out this month.
Some Jenni Bowlin medallion punch love here. I found I could resist no longer. I also could not resist another thread bow!
I deconstructed one of the glassine bags that some of the products from the kit came in. That got layered over some Patterned paper and under my photo for layered texture. You could easily use waxed paper for this purpose also.
I love the stamp from the Illustrated add-on. Found myself using that several times on the last few projects. Unfortunately it's sold out, but it goes to show you why you should subscribe!
I had a lot of fun (and brain cramps too) working out the circles to create the circle design. I knew I wanted use the Elle's Studio Noted Journaling Tag in the center. I also knew I wanted some of the Kraft cardstock to be exposed. I used my old Creative Memories circle maker's to get all the circles the right size.
My Silhouette cut out lots of arrows. If I did it again I might like to do even more arrows, but I do like the effect I ended up with.
I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you who are praying for our family. It means so much to us. We still need it. I am always amazed at how supportive the crafting community is. How is it that women who live all over the world can be so very together? Amazing! Thank you again friends, you mean the world to me.
I'll see ya tomorrow. I hope. Have a great Thursday!
Beautiful as always Ursula. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Big hugs to you.
