Well yes, I think it would. Yes, it'll also take a long time. Yes, it'll also take a lot of patience. Yes, it'll also take a fair bit of glue and dexterity and what if you don't like the result? Well, never mind that, give it a go. After all, you just bought those yummy Creative Memories Hexagon punches and you must use them!
Hmmm, lots of punching later. Now it's time to find a photo. The truth is, I had no prior plan of what photo to use, but I did think that since I was going to fit together all those shapes a page about my hubs and I was appropriate and how we fit together just right.
Here is the end result.
I am in love, I admit. I almost want to do it again with another color. But it may lose the impact.
This page is made primarily from the Daydream Believer kit over at Studio Calico. I added some bits from some of the add-ons as well but I am afraid those are all sold out.
I punched the hexagons from 1 2/3 sheets of vanilla card-stock by American Crafts. Then I cut a few shapes from some of the patterned papers in the kit. Then it was just all about laying them all down. I started in the center, added adhesive only to the centers so that the edges would lift a bit.
After that, I put together the photo section and laid it down. Then it was all about choosing some spots to stitch and adding that detail. I had some idea of stitching every single hexagon, but I laid down till that particular urge was long gone.
All that texture makes me happy. I wonder what other shapes I can do this with???
Have a great weekend friends.
